The predicted salary is between 59574 - 59574 £ per year.

The successful candidate will supervise one of the private sector housing licensing teams overseeing a range of private sector compliance programmes including private sector licensing and enforcement work, ensuring premises meet the basic legal requirements and necessary licensing requirements. The post holder will provide support to the Private Sector Compliance manager in fulfilling statutory and corporate needs around this requirement. You will have effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

The successful candidate will carry out Environmental Health functions to enable the Council to meet its statutory obligations in respect of private sector housing licensing including inspection, enforcement, education and advice. The role requires effective interpersonal and communication skills and the postholder will act as an Authorised Officer of the Council in the performance of the statutory functions in accordance with the current scheme of delegation.

The Private Sector Licensing and Enforcement team provides a frontline service to improve housing conditions within the private rented sector and bring properties up to standard. We support and advise private tenants, homeowners, and private landlords with the team working towards ensuring people renting privately live in decent houses and a place to call home. The team is dynamic, forward-thinking and offers plenty of opportunities for development and growth.
