Health and Wellbeing Bus Champion (Ref: 2886)
Salary: £42,912 per annum rising to £44,235 pro rata, plus LW.
Contract: Secondment until March 2027, possible extension.
Hours: 21 hours per week, part time.
About the Team
The Lambeth Together Health and Wellbeing Bus Team provides accessible health advice, signposting and health checks to residents across Lambeth, focusing on communities with health inequalities. It works within the NHS partnership.
About the Role
Lambeth’s Health and Wellbeing Bus programme now recruits a part time Health and Wellbeing Bus Champion to support daily running of the bus service and to provide assistance to advisors delivering one‑to‑one health sessions. The role involves engaging the public to promote public health priorities and reduce health inequalities, working from community hubs and events as required. The role may include evening and weekend work.
Responsibilities
- Support the daily running of the bus service.
- Assist advisors with one‑to‑one health sessions.
- Engage with the public and promote public health priorities.

- Participate in health promotion activities, including providing health checks and signposting to services.
Qualifications
- Level 2 Award in Understanding Health Improvement from the Royal Society of Public Health.
- Relevant supplemental courses to the post.
- Passion for health and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
