Fixed‑term, 6‑month Full Time contract. Starting salary £61,686 per annum, rising to £64,938 per annum including LW.
Key Responsibilities
- The manager provides operational support delivering building surveying and engineering services, including planned and reactive maintenance, minor work projects, and refurbishment programmes.
- Managing maintenance regimes and overseeing building condition surveys.
- Developing capital replacement programmes.
- Supporting sustainability initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety, CDM regulations and statutory standards.
- Providing professional technical advice and promoting customer‑focused, commercially viable FM services.
- Managing staff, working with consultants and contractors, and contributing to procurement processes.
Knowledge and Technical Skills
- Detailed knowledge of building/property legislation, compliance and safety regulations.
- Strong understanding of M&E systems, HVAC and relevant standards (CIBSE, ACOPs, etc.).
- Knowledge of Building Regulations, planning legislation and CDM Regulations.
- Understanding of asbestos regulations and construction health & safety.
Experience
- Managing planned maintenance and capital works programmes.
- Proven ability to manage staff, consultants and contractors.
- Experience in procurement, contract management and performance monitoring.
- Ability to translate policy and legislative requirements into practical processes and procedures.
Qualifications
- Degree in Building Services Engineering, Building Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline (or equivalent).
- Professional membership (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB, MCABE, MCIBSE) desirable.
