About the Team:
The Capital Studio, part of the Infrastructure and Capital Delivery team within Resident and Enabling Service, aims to deliver projects for internal clients such as Transport, Sustainability, and Parks, benefiting Lambeth residents and visitors.
About the Role:
The key responsibility is to ensure that internal and external supply chains deliver a portfolio of high-profile, complex capital and non-capital Highway Asset Improvement Projects and Parks projects, each up to £10m, on time, within budget, and to the required quality. The post-holder will establish and work closely with extensive supply chains and stakeholders.
To be considered for interview, your CV and supporting statement should clearly demonstrate:
- Project Management accreditation or excellent knowledge of project management processes.
- Knowledge of business planning and service improvements in a council environment.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing and delivering capital projects, especially Active Travel and Highways maintenance projects.
- Proven contract management skills, including managing delivery through Term Partnering Contracts, NEC, and JCT.
- Strong financial awareness and ability to report on multiple projects.
- Knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and statutory requirements.
- Experience in writing detailed reports and business cases, and presenting complex issues.
- Networking skills to build relationships and improve processes.
- Proficiency with management, project, and analysis tools.
- Excellent time management skills for handling complex work streams and prioritising tasks.
