Senior role within Lambeth Public Health, leading and supporting a range of health protection work programmes, ensuring delivery of the Council's statutory public health responsibilities. The portfolio includes communicable disease prevention and control, immunisation and screening, infection prevention and control, environmental hazards, emergency preparedness and wider health protection assurance work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a range of health protection work programmes.
  • Coordinate and provide assurance across the local health protection system.
  • Work closely with partners including UK Health Security Agency, NHS organisations, Lambeth Together and community organisations.
  • Strengthen prevention, preparedness and response arrangements locally.
  • Support work to address inequalities in access, uptake and outcomes across health protection programmes and services.
