What the Job Involves The role involves supporting the Council\’s functions related to contracts and procurement, managing a Contracts Lawyer, and handling a substantial caseload of complex contract work. You will provide legal advice, draft complex documentation for contracts, and ensure the development of effective contract services. The position also involves maintaining current knowledge of legal developments, preparing reports, acting as a Client Officer for external service providers, and achieving agreed service outcomes. As a member of the council’s management team, you will lead on corporate initiatives, ensure effective resource management, uphold legal compliance, and contribute to positive cultural change within the council.
