About The Role: This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Multi Agency Child Protection Team as a Team Manager.
PURPOSE OF ROLE: To lead and manage the Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT), ensuring that children who are subject to statutory child protection enquiries and investigations receive a high-quality, timely and effective multi-agency response that safeguards them and improves outcomes for them and their families.
- To ensure MACPT operates in line with the expectations of the Families First Partnership programme.
- To provide strong practice leadership, management oversight and reflective supervision to six Lead Child Protection Practitioners.
- To establish effective working relationships with the MACPT multi-agency practitioners within the team.
- To promote and govern excellent child protection practice.
- To build and sustain effective strategic and operational partnerships with police, health, education, legal services and other relevant agencies.
- To ensure high standards of performance, quality assurance, recording, information sharing and compliance.
- To assist and support the Head of Service in delivering excellent child protection practice.
- To ensure services are provided within set budgets and provide value for money.
About The Team You’ll Be Working In: The Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT) is a specialist team bringing together experienced practitioners from different agencies to co-ordinate decision making with respect to child protection matters.

- You bring extensive experience in statutory social work and have developed specialist knowledge relevant to Early Help, Prevention and Child Safeguarding.
- You are skilled in managing complex, high volume, and fast paced operational demands.
- You provide robust supervision, mentoring, and practice oversight to staff.
Essential For this Role: Enhanced DBS is required for this Role.
