Term time plus 5 INSET Days

22.5 hours per week (39 weeks)

An exciting position has arisen at this large, multi-cultural 11-18 community school to work as the afternoon Receptionist.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

Responsible to the Office Manager:

  • The Receptionist is responsible to the Office Manager for:
  • Operating the central console switchboard ensuring that all calls are promptly and politely answered and appropriate action taken, including the dissemination of messages.
  • Forwarding all absence emails promptly to relevant Head of Year, Attendance and pupil support admin.
  • Updating and maintaining the confiscated mobile log on Teams.
  • Processing pupil appointments ahead of time.
  • Reporting any faults on the telephone system to the Network Team.
  • Entering information regarding pupils arriving late in pupils diaries and late spreadsheet on Inventry, liaising with the Attendance Registrar to ensure the effective monitoring of pupils absence.

The school is located on a large site in Hounslow with excellent transport links and a large staff car park. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. This appointment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check. In line with KCSIE 2024 and safer recruitment practices, we will conduct an online search for all shortlisted candidates.
