Overview
In this role you will lead and support public health initiatives in sexual, reproductive and women’s health to reduce health inequalities. You will work with commissioned providers, NHS partners and community organisations to inform commissioning and service improvement. You will apply epidemiological evidence and population health data to shape decision-making and ensure high-quality outcomes. This is a collaborative, impact-driven position within the Public Health Team focused on prevention and equitable access to services.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support work on sexual health, reproductive health, HIV prevention and women’s health to improve resident outcomes
- Use public health intelligence and evidence to inform commissioning, service improvement and strategic decisions
- Collaborate with commissioned providers, NHS partners, Integrated Care Board and community organisations to ensure services meet population needs
- Contribute to public health commissioning, service redesign, population health intelligence, contract management and partnership working
- Support delivery of prevention and inequality reduction agendas in public health
Key requirements
- Experience in UK public health, healthcare commissioning, health improvement or related field
- Degree in a health discipline
- Ability to use data and evidence to understand population need and inform service improvement
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration with healthcare providers, local authorities and communities
- Experience managing projects or programmes that improve health outcomes
- Ability to communicate complex information in reports and presentations
- Motivation to reduce inequalities in sexual, reproductive and women’s health outcomes
