We are seeking permanent full‑time and part‑time staff to work as CRS Rehab Assistants for the Community Recovery Service. The Community Recovery Service is an integrated service with Hounslow and the NHS Trust, supporting people’s independence following an injury, illness or change in life circumstances. The role involves a 7‑day service from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., requiring flexible working and support for vulnerable residents.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes therapists, social workers and nurses.
- Carry out personal care support as required for clients with rehabilitation goals, including washing, dressing, shaving, managing continence, toileting, bathing, transfers and medication administration. Training will be available.
- Work with clients referred to the Community Recovery Service as required, including home visits and community settings, carrying out risk assessments and following lone‑working policy guidelines.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the effects of disability in community rehabilitation during client intervention.
- Carry out and contribute to client assessment as delegated by the occupational therapist or physiotherapist and provide feedback on clients' occupational performance.
You will receive significant support from the CRS Assessors, CRS Coordinators and the Registered Manager, and you will have the opportunity to develop strategies and practices that improve ways of working.
A people person who can communicate key messages effectively. Comfortable using different types of IT and willing to learn new systems. A customer‑focused approach with a helpful and cooperative attitude.
- Ability to teach practical skills to clients.
- Basic understanding of the effects of disability.
- Understanding of the concept of enabling clients through the therapy process.
- Ability to carry out moderate to intense physical effort throughout the working day and manage concurrent activities.
Desirable For The Role: NVQ Level 2, Care Certificate or equivalent experience. Training will be provided.
Essential For Role: Enhanced DBS.
