We are looking for an exceptional communications leader to help shape that story. As our new Head of Communications and Corporate Affairs, you will lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary communications function at the heart of the organisation. Reporting to the Director of Communications, Culture and Engagement, you will play a key role in shaping the Council’s voice, reputation and relationships, ensuring our communications are purposeful, creative and impactful.

This is a broad and influential leadership role spanning media relations, campaigns, digital and social media, marketing, design, internal communications and corporate affairs. You will lead the development of campaigns that change behaviour, strengthen engagement and improve outcomes for residents and communities across the borough.

You will also act as a trusted advisor to senior officers and elected Members, helping to navigate complex issues, manage risk and shape the narrative around the Council’s priorities and ambitions. Politically aware and strategically minded, you will bring sound judgement, calm leadership and the ability to build confidence.
