Would you like to make a difference to the life of our young people with special needs and disabilities by ensuring they have a fun and safe journey to and from school? The London Borough of Hounslow’s Transport Co-ordination service is currently recruiting minibus Drivers to support SEND children during their journey to/from school. We require part-time staff for 17 hours per week split shift (am and pm) term time only. There are opportunities to work additional hours and opportunities for Casual Drivers if you require more flexibility. You will be responsible for transporting children and adults with special educational needs and disabilities to various destinations, within and outside of the Borough.

About You

  • Possess a PSV (D) or D1 category driving licence (you would have an automatic D1 if you passed your driving test before 1 January 1997)
  • The ability to safely drive a large minibus (there will be an assessment)
  • Have a caring and friendly personality
  • Possess a good level of spoken English and communication skills
  • Are physically fit
  • Able to deal with emergency situations in a positive manner
