About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Resident Experience and Localities Team as an Apprentice focusing on our work with partner organisations. You will get diverse experiences including working with partner organisations to deliver meaningful services for residents; working in Hounslowâs Community Hubs and Libraries; working with data to inform service delivery. You will develop a range of professional skills, including data management, partnership working, communication and interpersonal skills. You will also have unique exposure to the work of different organisations in Hounslowâs community, providing opportunity to create and develop collaborative working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will study for a Level 3 Public Service Operational Delivery Officer Apprenticeship, whereby youâll need to evidence learning and development at work.
About The Team Youâll Be Working In
The Resident Experience and Localities Team is more than just a team, it is an approach that involves the whole Council, its partners, and Hounslowâs voluntary sector. Our Team aims to empower Hounslowâs communities and connect them with support, help and advice in an accessible way through different Community Hubs and Libraries across Hounslow. Community Hubs and Libraries bring together officers, partner organisations and resources to provide our residents with holistic support across a range of issues such as employment, finance, and wellbeing. The Community Hub Advisors support residents via telephone, email, and in-person. Residents can also access support through our online platform, Hounslow Connect. As our Apprentice, you will work across different parts of our service to provide support and to act as a friendly contact for residents and partners. You will also support Localitiesâ wider projects and adapt easily to the priorities set out by your line manager.
About You
The successful candidate will have a passion for helping the community and an interest in taking their first step in developing their career in local government. You should be able to work out and about in the borough to assist in the delivery of Hounslowâs Community Hubs and Libraries. To be successful in this role, you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, basic digital skills including the ability to work using Microsoft applications, pay attention to detail, be adaptable to changing priorities and have a desire to learn. You should be able to evidence your learning and development to complete the Level 3 Public Service Operational Delivery Officer apprenticeship.
