About The Role
This is an opportunity to be part of our Extra Care Housing team as a Concierge Officer where you will work in a professional, collaborative, and flexible manner with Housing, Care and Catering colleagues, maintaining confidentiality and always safeguarding and promoting independence of our residents.
This role is focused and personalised to those living at Bristol Court. The onâsite council presence allows us to make sure the local environment is safe, clean and tidy while providing a range of housing management functions directly to residents.
About The Team Youâll Be Working In
Specialist housing is part of Hounslow Councilâs Housing Tenancy Management Service, designed to meet the needs of tenants and their partners with health and social care needs. These residents receive the same support as other tenants, but the extra care scheme have additional staff to provide extra security and assistance in emergencies. The aim is to enable residents to continue to live independently while enjoying the range of community activities on offer.
Reporting to the Senior Extra Care Officer, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors to Bristol Court providing a comprehensive reception, enquiry and advice service to members of the public and visitors to Bristol Court ensuring that enquires are directed to the appropriate departments. You will maintain high level of security of the building ensuring health and safety of residents, staff, visitors and scheme.
This role is based at Bristol Court in Feltham.
About You
- Passionate about safeguarding and working with vulnerable people in a supportive manner with the ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision, reacting calmly and efficiently in emergencies.
- To provide a comprehensive reception, enquiry and advice service to members of the public and visitors to Bristol Court in person, by telephone or by letter ensuring that other enquires are directed to the appropriate departments.
- Ensure a high level of security in the building both internally and externally making use of CCTV and other technology, managing the security of the car park including maintaining residentsâ parking database.
- Inspect buildingâs standards of cleanliness maintaining the staff and reception areas in a tidy, organised and presentable manner, always giving a professional image.
- To undertake porter duties when required ensuring deliveries of parcel to residents.
- Undertake Health and Safety checks including fire safety checks, sprinkler system, emergency lights and building security reporting any identified repairs including those of tenants.
