The Universal team works with children and young people to deliver high quality, consistent youth work through locality based, detached, outreach and specialist and accredited programmes across the borough in collaboration with the statutory, community and voluntary sector. Our work delivers opportunities that promote personal and social development, encourage children and young people to make informed choices and respect and value difference. These posts will be placed within our Universal Team in our Southwest Locality Team, Southeast Locality Team, and the Specialist and Accredited Team to support the expansion of our Universal Offer for children and young people. About You The successful candidate will be committed to taking a positive, holistic and empowering approach to service delivery. We are looking for individuals with demonstrable experience and competence in working with children and young people within formal or informal education or community settings. We are seeking to recruit individuals with an excellent understanding of issues that face children and young people today. You will have a creative and dynamic approach and be able to engage with hard to reach and other vulnerable groups. There is no specific qualification required for this role, and training will be part of the induction. A willingness to learn and a commitment to supporting children and young people is a must.
