This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing Planning Enforcement Service, following a recent transformation that has expanded the team.

As a Planning Enforcement Officer, you will:

  • Investigate alleged breaches of planning control within the Borough
  • Take appropriate action to protect local amenities and provide confidence to residents
  • Conduct site inspections, interview members of the public, and liaise with landowners, occupiers, and Council colleagues
  • Assist with all stages of the investigation and enforcement process, from complaint receipt to case closure
  • Prepare and serve Planning Enforcement Notices and Enforcement Appeal documents
  • Support legal proceedings, including assisting in prosecution cases when required
