The purpose of the role of Employee and Establishment Officer is to provide the first point of contact for employees and managers with routine transactional HR/Establishment queries and to be responsible for their satisfactory resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting managers in relation to the maintenance of their hierarchy and processing changes for both managers and employees.
  • Issuing contractual changes for current employees.
  • Processing leavers, honouraria payments and maternity, paternity and adoption leave.
  • Extensions to acting ups, temporary appointments.
  • Resolution of annual leave queries.

This post will be on London Borough of Havering Terms and Conditions and based at the Central Library, Romford in the London Borough of Havering. Travel between other offices that are part of oneSource may be required.

Qualifications

To be a successful candidate you must be a highly motivated, organised team player with excellent customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal). The ability to respond to customers effectively and efficiently is essential. You need to be hard working, focused and able to work with minimum supervision. You will be required to have proven experience in a variety of transactional HR/Establishment processes; a comprehensive working knowledge of contractual changes, legislation; various terms and conditions and experience of working to tight deadlines in a fast paced, result focused environment. You must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in order that data input into the Fusion HR/Payroll system, contracts that are issued are correct and records are maintained/updated accordingly. You will also have excellent ICT skills preferably using Microsoft Office including Word and Excel and have a good working knowledge of Fusion, Outlook, Civica/NEC DM and Service Manager.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within oneSource for an Officer to work within the busy Employee and Establishment Team within Exchequer and Transactional Services. The Employee and Establishment Team are responsible for the delivery of a transactional HR service through the Fusion HR/payroll system. Providing a high quality and consistent service to our customers, whilst adhering to legislation, terms and conditions, policies and procedures at all times. This post will be based at the Central Library in Havering and on Havering's Terms and Conditions. Travel between other offices that are part of oneSource may be required.
