Overview
Grade 2- 28221 29436 pro rata (approx salary ยฃ4,537 โ ยฃ4,732 per annum). We are looking for highly organised and self-motivated candidates who have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and who enjoy a challenge.
No two days are the same in our libraries. As a Peak Time Assistant, you will be responsible for managing enquiries from library members and visitors in person and on the phone, assisting with digital access and the processing, shelving and promoting of our stock. You will assist with weekly events and activities including singing rhymes and reading stories with our youngest members at Baby Bounce and Story Time sessions. You will be timetabled to work on Saturday, but flexibility is required to help cover any gaps in the service.
Our libraries are bustling hubs of activity, with activities ranging from Baby Bounce sessions to Reading Buddies, spaces for studying, sharing poetry, researching family history, childrenโs activities and craft sessions, reading groups, In Stitches, Games Club and more.
