An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Early Help and Targeted Family Support Service, for a full-time EPEC Hub Coordinator for an initial one-year contract. Empowering Parents Empowering Communities (EPEC) is a unique peer-led approach to supporting parents and carers in Havering. EPEC has been running in Havering since 2017 and has made a huge impact on the lives of local families.
This role requires day-to-day running of the EPEC Hub, ensuring that it is delivering in line with annual targets and within budget, and overseeing and supporting the cohort of parent volunteers. The candidate will have the chance to strengthen their project management skills, experience supervision of volunteers, and observe the impact that EPEC can have for parents and their children.
About You
- The successful candidate will need diploma-level education or equivalent.
- Experience of training or facilitation to a wide range of audiences, including evidence-based parenting interventions.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary setting and liaising with a network of stakeholders/partner agencies.
- Experience working with parents experiencing social disadvantage, volunteers, and a variety of different communities.
- Knowledge of best practice and current legislation.
- Experience of supervision, assessing, monitoring, and evaluating work to meet local priorities and targets.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage time and workload with minimal support.
Additional Information: The London Borough of Havering has important responsibilities for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
