Overview:
HB Public Law is an innovative and ambitious legal service committed to the public sector and we seek lawyers who embody this approach. HB Public Law is one of the country’s leading local authority shared legal practices, it is Lexcel accredited, and we pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality service.
We have three separate teams of children’s social care lawyers, who individually provide the legal support to the London Boroughs of Barnet, Harrow and Hounslow. Although cross working is sometimes offered or required, in main you would work for one of these authorities allowing a positive client relationship to develop.
We understand that this area of law is highly pressurised and therefore recognize the importance of work-life balance. We offer flexible working, appropriate training, and a highly supportive working environment to allow you to work autonomously both in the workplace and at home.
About You:
The successful candidate will be required to carry a full caseload. There is an opportunity to represent social care clients in court proceedings where required.
The successful candidate will be a team player who takes pride in delivering a high-quality service and is able to work under pressure.
Candidates from both the public and private sector are encouraged to apply for this position, as the practice’s current staff base is drawn from both sectors.
Full and part-time/job share applications are considered.
If you would like a confidential conversation about the opportunity prior to applying, please feel free to call Aarti Hansrani, Principal Lawyer.
Closing Date: The closing date for all applications is Monday the 24th of March 2025.
