Haringey legal services are establishing a new disrepair team within the litigation department to handle disrepair cases. Join our Lexcel-accredited legal service, known for excellent client care. We offer a unique opportunity to shape our team ethos from the ground up.

As a Senior Lawyer in the Housing Disrepair Legal Team, you will provide expert legal advice on housing disrepair cases, manage your own caseload, oversee case progression, and contribute to the team’s strategic direction. You will supervise junior staff and support senior legal staff in team development, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Knowledge of legislation and case law related to housing and anti-social behaviour litigation
  • Experience in advocacy in Magistrates or County Court
  • Qualified solicitor, barrister, or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work objectively, calmly, and efficiently under pressure
  • Strong team collaboration skills and ability to work well with legal and support staff, clients, and external partners
  • Ability to provide accessible, specialist legal advice to diverse stakeholders
