About the role
This role is crucial to the provision of estate services, ensuring that housing-managed blocks remain clean, free from dumped rubbish, dirt, and any potential health and safety hazards. It involves identifying and reporting communal repairs, addressing instances of anti-social behaviour, and helping to maintain a clean, welcoming environment where residents can take pride in their surroundings.

About you
The ideal candidate for this job should have prior experience in using cleaning materials and equipment and identifying repairs. They should have the ability to write simple memos, letters, and simple reports. Effective communication skills are a must-have at all levels, and the candidate should have the ability to deal helpfully and tactfully with all tenants and residents. The candidate should be able to work independently and as a team member, with a basic knowledge of maintenance and cleaning equipment. Basic handy person skills such as manual handling and electrical awareness are desirable, as is an awareness of the needs of vulnerable groups in the local community. Demonstrating commitment to equalities in employment and service provision is essential, along with an understanding of Council policy on equalities and safeguarding.
About the team
The successful candidate will join a motivated team working together to improve communal spaces for residents across the borough. You\’ll be part of a team of 11–12, covering the west of the borough
