About the role

At Hammersmith & Fulham, we are ambitious in reforming the council to ensure this is a place for everybody. Within the Economy department, we aim to be efficient in everything that we do. We believe our residents deserve a place that is safe, clean and green, with high quality services they can rely on. We are seeking to recruit a dynamic careers co‑ordinator for Adult Learning and Skills Service. This is a newly created role, to support the development of a Careers Hub at our new centre at Ed City. The centre will offer a range of courses in STEM and will support the Council’s industrial strategy to work in partnership with Imperial and additional local organisations to offer high‑quality provision.

The Careers Co‑ordinator will provide high‑level careers information, advice and guidance and play a role in recruiting learners onto our STEM programmes. The post holder will work in partnership with our colleagues across the Council and take a lead on our MATRIX, which is the quality assurance kite mark for Information, advice and guidance, to ensure we maintain the quality standard. The post holder will provide a high‑quality service to support learners with CV creation, personal skills development, job applications, interview techniques and employment searches.

The post holder will be a qualified Careers Advice and Guidance QCF level 6 plus, with experience of using labour market intelligence systems and data to inform decisions and service delivery.
