The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

Permanent, part time 20 hours per week. Young Hackney provides access to universal and targeted youth work programmes for children and young people aged 10-19 years (or up to 25 years with SEND). Young Hackney Services are embedded in the community and delivered through a network of Youth Hubs and via community settings. Our projects and interventions enable young people to build positive relationships with their peers, families, schools and the wider community; raising aspirations, encouraging active citizenship and leadership and supporting the prevention of youth crime.

Youth Workers support, enrich and enhance our high quality effective and responsive early help and prevention services; delivering high quality programmes of youth work and targeted interventions that result in tangible improvements to young people’s well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Establish rapport and build a respectful, honest, challenging and supportive relationship with young people.
  • Deliver services at times that align with when young people are available, principally after school, evenings and weekends.
  • Deliver high quality programmes of youth work and targeted interventions across our Youth Hubs, Detached Outreach and Young Carers Teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience of delivering open access and targeted youth work/ youth participation programmes.
  • An Enhanced DBS Check is required.
