Our vehicle maintenance facility is seeking a ‘Workshop Administrative Assistant’ to support our Fleet Maintenance Centre in delivering high quality vehicle maintenance services for over 500 specialist vehicles, plant and machinery on behalf of our internal customer base. Although the role is predominantly a data entry function to a dedicated fleet software system, other important administration requirements include the following:

  • Provide a central point of contact for all workshop / vehicle maintenance related queries.
  • Assist in the management of the fleet software system and the Fleet Maintenance Centre.
  • Assist the Workshop Office Manager to ensure all legal compliance issues are adhered to.
  • Fully utilise the fleet software system to record all maintenance issues, job cards, activities and problems.
  • Assist with stock control; ordering of parts & materials; audits for stock control; vehicle maintenance activity and legal compliance on a regular basis.
  • Monitor and develop administration systems for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the identification and provision of ad-hoc training.

This is a dynamic, fast moving environment and it is essential that you have previous experience within an office environment. Experience of software applications such as Microsoft or Google Suite and a financial application is desirable. You will also understand the importance of cost control, revenue generation and compliance with Health & Safety and Operator Licensing. A clean driving licence is desirable but not essential.
