We are looking to appoint a Room Leader to join our dedicated team to improve the outcomes for children in Hackney. Your role will be to help us achieve a safe, healthy and stimulating environment where activities enable children to grow and develop in line with outstanding practice standards. As an excellent communicator, you will need to be enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed to maintaining high standards.
The Room Leader role will see you taking responsibility for the daily supervision of your room, including supervision of the practitioners working there. You will, with the support of the Teacher and Senior Children’s Centre Officer develop and monitor a quality curriculum in line with the EYFS in return for a competitive salary.
This is an ideal position for someone looking to be an integral part of an Outstanding setting that provides an exceptional service to a diverse community. Significant professional experience of working within a culturally diverse educational childcare environment is essential. You must have a high level of interpersonal skills and possess outstanding curriculum knowledge. The centre also has a designated Forest School and accredited training can be provided to interested candidates.
An NVQ3 qualification or above in childcare or equivalent is essential for this role. You will be required to work flexible hours as the centre operates a shift system.
