The role is a 2‑year, fixed‑term apprenticeship that offers structured placements across council departments, training to the Operations Manager Level 5 Apprenticeship Standard, and opportunities to develop leadership skills in a local government setting.
Responsibilities
- Complete a variety of six‑month placements in frontline resident‑focused services and support services.
- Work on transformation projects aligned with the Corporate Transformation Programme.
- Engage in corporate activity and strategic priorities of the Strategy and Transformation Division.
- Apply training and learning activities to meet apprenticeship standards.
- Participate in workshops, networking and progression opportunities.
Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification in any subject (e.g., 3 or more A‑Levels at grades A‑C/4‑9, apprenticeship, BTEC extended diploma).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (grades A‑C or 4‑) or Level 2 Functional Skills.
- At least 18 months relevant work experience.
- Not hold a Level 5 or higher management‑related qualification.
- Evidence of a link to Hackney (resident, student, former student, alumnus of a local institution, recipient of local services, or employee of the Council).
- British or EU passport, or permission to live in the UK, and residence in the UK or EU for at least 3 years.
