Overview: Hackney Parking Services is leading the parking industry and excels in best practice. The Road & Traffic Enforcement Team Leader will lead a uniformed presence across the borough, deploying on a district basis to address localised parking problems, manage a team, and support the Mayor’s priorities and Council objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a visible uniformed presence across the borough and lead deployment on a district basis.
  • Manage and supervise team performance, ensuring accountability and timely management of parking enforcement actions in line with legislation and Council policies.
  • Issue Penalty Charge Notices, Warning Notices and Fixed Penalty Notices (for engine idling) and other parking enforcement duties.
  • Report general public‑realm problems, issues and concerns to relevant services.
  • Collaborate with residents and key partnering services, using strong communication and networking skills.
  • Maintain accurate service‑specific records to meet reporting obligations.
  • Apply proactive, driven approach to resolve diverse caseloads and support community needs.
  • Work routinely from different locations across Hackney in an agile context.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional leadership skills, demonstrated through direct management experience or supervision of staff.
  • Experience in an agile work environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
