Hackney Music Service is looking to appoint highly skilled and experienced instrumental and vocal tutors across a range of musical genres and instruments to join its music tutor panel. The role will include teaching children and young people of differing ages and skill levels in both small and large groups in school settings. We particularly seek tutors who can inspire and enthuse young people to develop a love of music, and who can effectively plan for musical progression.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality instrumental and vocal tuition to individuals and groups, covering technique, musicianship, and creativity while exposing learners to diverse musical cultures.
- Prepare pupils for GCSE, A-level, and graded examinations, signpost them to ensembles and holiday courses to support long-term progression.
- Maintain accurate registers and records of work, attend orientation meetings, and contribute to the vibrant cultural life of schools through concerts and performance events.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a professional and flexible approach, working closely with school staff and the Music Service management team to ensure strategic musical development.
