Leasehold Consultation and Billing Officer

Hackney Council is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Leasehold Consultation and Billing Officer to carry out project work. This isn’t just an administrative role—it’s a mission to resolve significant legacy issues that have been holding back homeowner recharging and income recovery. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring financial fairness and recovering vital funds for the borough.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead crucial project work to resolve long‑standing legacy issues, conduct detailed lease and transfer of part reviews, and modernise our data landscape.
  • Respond directly to new legislation by creating and updating essential financial databases, securing the Council’s ability to accurately and fairly recharge homeowners.
  • Become the custodian of our major works database, ensuring every customer account is meticulously accurate and reconciled.
  • Utilise your essential financial administration expertise to support Homeownership Services and foster effective financial accounting practices by liaising with departments, regulatory bodies, and auditors across the Council.
