Domestic Abuse Intervention Service Business Support Officer

An opportunity has arisen to work as a Business Support Officer based within Hackney’s Domestic Abuse Intervention Service, Hackney Council’s Team of The Year 2025.

The role involves:

• administering and minuting a variety of panels which discuss and safeguard people subjected to different forms of abuse
• minuting and organising different strategic / partnership meetings that take forward Hackney’s Eliminating Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy 2025-2029
• creating and maintaining client files and progressing worksteps on Hackney’s Mosaic case management system
• producing, analysing and reporting on a range of data for different audiences
• supporting the wide variety of work undertaken in the service e.g. public campaigns and events, therapeutic group interventions for domestic abuse survivors, bespoke projects with key partner agencies

• Keen to be part of the service in the Council that leads on a wide range of issues relating to Violence Against Women and Girls including misogyny, sexual exploitation, domestic homicide, harmful practices and intergenerational abuse
• Able to work in a service whose culture is one of high expectations and high levels of trust in its workforce
• Confident about using ICT in an accurate and timely way to record, minute and disseminate information accurately and in a timely way
• Organised and able to plan and manage a workload involving competing priorities
• Interested in developing, trying out and improving ways of gathering and reporting on data and organising the work of a busy service
• Adaptable and dynamic, enjoying a workload that involves different types of tasks, from helping to plan and organise a partnership event to minuting Hackney’s MARAC (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference) to tracking actions relating to serious domestic abuse incidents.

An Enhanced DBS Check Is Required For This Role.
