The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.
In addition to the stated salary, this role includes a market supplement of £3k (reviewed yearly) and an essential car user allowance of £963.00 per annum, plus 40.9p per mile paid. With the growth in various developments, an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly-motivated individual with preferably substantial Building Regulations experience, to join our dynamic, highly performing Building Control Team. This post is career progressive and we will ensure that you gain valuable building control experience across the entire spectrum of small, medium and large complex construction projects.
The successful candidate must be a registered Class 2a building inspector minimum. You will work closely with the other Principal and Senior Building Control Surveyors to deliver high-quality service to clients and effectively discharge the Council’s statutory function. You will enjoy stimulating and varied work in this role – no two days are the same. You will have the chance to work in a supportive working environment with opportunities for personal development and professional growth.
As a Chartered (or working towards) professional (RICS, CABE, CIOB), you should bring construction industry experience and knowledge of Building Control relating to a wide breadth of buildings. You will play an integral role in making pragmatic and value decisions on compliance with Building Regulations, driving forward new schemes within the Borough and effectively turning our vision into reality.
The successful candidate must hold a clean, current driving licence and have use of their own car. You will contribute to the delivery of an efficient and effective Building Control service for the Borough, including taking decisions of allocated Building Regulation applications, Notices and matters allocated by the Building Control Manager, enabling the delivery of quality developments in line with legislation, industry performance guidelines and internal targets.
