How You’ll Be Involved

As theStrategic Manager for the Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board (SAPB), you will providestrong leadership, operational oversight, and strategic directionto ensure the Board fulfils its statutory responsibilities under the Care Act 2014 and drives meaningful improvements in safeguarding adults in Camden.

Working directly to theIndependent Chair, you will be responsible for coordinating the Board’s strategic priorities, delivering key statutory functions (including Safeguarding Adults Reviews), overseeing the business cycle and governance of the Board and its subgroups, and leading high-level engagement with local and regional partners.

You will also provideline managementto the Board Officer and work closely with them to devise and deliver the Board’s annual work plan. A central aspect of your role is to ensure that the voices of adults with lived experience are meaningfully embedded into the work and strategic direction of the Board.

All About You

You are an accomplished leader with a deep understanding of statutory adult safeguarding frameworks and the ability to influence across a complex multi-agency system. You combine strategic thinking with operational skill and can confidently engage with senior stakeholders, elected members, statutory partners and people with lived experience.

You will bring:

  • Strong knowledge of theCare Act 2014, safeguarding adults legislation and best practice, as well as up to date policy and research understanding.
  • Significant experience ofleading multi-agency safeguarding partnerships, boards or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to lead complex programmes, manage sensitive information, and maintain a clear focus on improving outcomes for adults with care and support needs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • A values-led approach that promotesinclusion, accountability, continuous learning, transparency, and co-production.
