About Camden

Camden is building somewhere everyone can thrive, by making our borough the best place to live, work, study and visit. Because we’re not just home to UK’s fast-growing economy. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind.

About Raise Camden

Raise Camden is a strategic programme within Health and Wellbeing, focused on reducing long-term child health inequalities across the borough. Bringing together partners from across and beyond Camden, the programme tests, learns, and innovates new approaches to improve social mobility and close the gap in healthy life expectancy.

What You’ll Be Doing / How You’ll Be Involved

In this role, you will lead the planning, delivery, and performance reporting of multiple workstreams within the Raise Camden programme. You will ensure projects are effectively coordinated, meet key objectives and deadlines, and align with wider Camden priorities to deliver meaningful, system-wide change. As a Programme Manager, you will apply your expertise to design, implement, and evaluate initiatives across a broad range of public health priorities. You will play a key role in strengthening Camden’s reputation as a leader in evidence-driven programme management and collaborative working, helping to create an environment that attracts innovative and impactful projects, including research opportunities. You will work closely with residents and a diverse network of partners across the Council, NHS, Integrated Care Systems, and the Community and Voluntary Sector. Collaborating with commissioners, service providers, and service users, you will support the development and delivery of high-quality strategies, programmes, and services that make a tangible difference to people’s lives.

All About You

To be successful in this role, you will be educated to degree level or bring substantial equivalent experience within a similar post. You will also hold a Prince2 qualification (or equivalent project management certification) or demonstrate comparable hands-on experience in delivering projects and programmes. You will have a strong background in leading transformation and change initiatives within complex environments, alongside solid project and programme management expertise with a proven ability to deliver outcomes to time and objectives. An understanding of health and wellbeing services and the wider system in which they operate is essential.

You will be confident working with data, analytics, and research teams, with a clear understanding of the requirements involved in delivering data and research outputs such as longitudinal datasets, as well as the governance considerations that underpin this work. You will also have experience embedding evaluation and impact measurement into programmes, adopting a continuous learning and improvement approach. The post holder will have the ability to establish and maintain robust project governance, ensuring high standards of programme discipline throughout delivery. Strong stakeholder engagement skills are key, with the ability to quickly build credibility and influence a wide range of partners, including policymakers, practitioners, researchers, and community organisations. A collaborative and inclusive approach is essential, alongside experience of building meaningful relationships with residents, service users, and partners. You will bring excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

If you are a passionate project or programme management professional, driven by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of Camden residents, we would love to hear from you.
