Overview

In the SEND & Inclusion Service, we aim high for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and we’re looking for skilled professionals with passion and aspirations to drive change. This role delivers high outcomes for children and young people with SEND by fostering a supportive, relational approach with families, schools, and education providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the development and maintenance of Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans, from initial applications and assessments to annual reviews.
- Coordinate services across education, health and care, ensuring holistic, high-quality delivery for each child and family.
- Act as a key contact for your caseload, attending planning and review meetings and responding to SEND queries.
- Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, maintain timely and effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Use data, feedback and reflective practices to continually improve service quality.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
- Experience in drafting and managing EHC plans and collaborating with partners across health, education and social care.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills to handle sensitive and potentially contentious situations effectively.
- Ability to place the voice of the child at the centre of decision‑making.
