Children’s Family Help and Safeguarding are holding a Social Work Recruitment in-person event for experienced social workers!
Date: Thursday 26th March 2026
In Person Event Time: 15:00 – 19:00
This event is for Qualified, Experienced Social Workers who are registered with SWE.
Salary on offer: £49,167.50 - £52,329 (dependant on experience)
You will also be entitled to the following additional payments:
- Reimbursement of the cost of Social Work England fee
- Travel Allowance: A travel allowance of £1,788. This allowance will be paid monthly and is subject to taxation and National Insurance deductions but is not pensionable and will therefore not count towards the calculation of your pension.
- Retention Payments for CIN, CYPDS & LAC: £2,000 at the end of Year 3. Your continued commitment to Camden’s social work services will be recognised with a retention payment of £2,000 at the conclusion of your third year of service. This payment will be pro-rated for part time workers.
- £2,000 at the end of Year 4. A further retention payment of £2,000 will be awarded at the end of your fourth year of service to further acknowledge the valuable work you do each day. This payment will be pro-rated for part time workers.
On Thursday 26th March 2026 at 5 Pancras Square, Children’s Family Help and Safeguarding will be holding an external event for Experienced Social Workers to come and drop in to meet different teams and leadership within children’s and families’ social work. The event will be from 15:00 to 19:00, allowing visitors to drop in at their convenience. Light refreshments and goody bags will be provided throughout the day.
Representatives from our teams including Children in Need, Corporate Parenting and Children and Young People’s Disability Services, Family, Friends & Fostering, Camden’s Learning Academy, Family Group Conferencing, Centre for Relational Practice, and more will be in attendance. All representatives will be able to answer any questions you might have about a social work career at Camden, including benefits, the day-to-day role, career progression, learning and development, and more.
Our Human Resources team will also be there to support visitors with making an application on the day. Places are filling fast so encourage fellow social workers to sign up today.
