What You\’ll Be Doing
Join Camden\’s dynamic Legal Services team, where you\’ll play a critical role in breaking down barriers while embracing a risk‑aware approach. You\’ll engage with senior officers and Members to offer high‑quality legal services, with a focus on social justice. Collaborate closely with various service directorates to ensure efficient delivery of Council priorities, all while managing a personal caseload that includes high‑profile and complex cases. Become a trusted advisor, advocate, and problem solver as you contribute to Camden\’s vision of innovative, responsive legal solutions.
We are particularly seeking lawyers with knowledge in the following areas:
- Homelessness/Part 7 Housing Act
- Building Safety Act/Fire Safety Act and other related legislation and requirements in relation to local authority building safety and regulatory compliance
All About You
We\’re looking for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives able to practice in England. You should possess a robust understanding of local government law and have hands‑on experience in preparing cases and drafting legal documents. Your professional confidence will shine through as you lead on challenging cases and provide high‑level advice. With excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit, you\’re ready to engage with our clients and stakeholders. Your proactive nature and creative mindset will help shape the future of legal services in Camden.
