The role
We have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational Inclusion Teacher to join our dedicated and well-respected team. The Inclusion Teacher will work with maintained nurseries, school nurseries, and early years settings in the private, voluntary and independent sectors. The role will primarily be one of developing good practice for children with special educational needs.
The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of SEND and Equalities legislation and a sound knowledge of child development in the early years. You will have demonstrable experience in the planning and delivery of evidence-based approaches for children with special educational needs and possess skills in demonstrating and coaching others. You will possess the ability to engage in collaborative problem solving with parents and a range of professionals in education, health and social care. You will have demonstrable ability to plan and deliver training that supports inclusive practice in the early years. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
About you
- Qualified teacher status, DFE reference number, and a minimum of 5 years recent teaching experience with at least two in the Early Years.
- Engaged in professional development in SEND – related to a specialism, specific approaches to support children with SEND, or an academic qualification in SEND (e.g. Masters level study).
