About Camden

At Camden, we’re building somewhere everyone can thrive. We want our borough to be the best place to live, work, study, and visit. We’re home to some of the UK’s most important conversations – from social change to climate action – and we’re making radical change a reality so that no one is left behind. Join us and be part of creating a better future for everyone.

The role

We’re looking for a Gas Compliance Administrator to join our Gas Safety & Compliance team. This is a key role that helps keep our residents safe by making sure we meet our legal responsibilities around gas servicing.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating Camden’s 60-day gas servicing and enforcement process – making sure appointments happen on time, records are accurate, and any access issues are followed up quickly. You’ll also prepare legal case files, support court processes, and help ensure our homes remain compliant and safe. This is a varied role where you’ll work closely with residents, colleagues across Housing and Legal Services, and our in-house Gas Servicing team.

What you’ll do

  • Track and manage properties through the gas servicing cycle.
  • Keep accurate, auditable records on Camden’s compliance systems.
  • Communicate with residents clearly and professionally about servicing and enforcement.
  • Support legal enforcement processes, preparing case files and attending court when needed.
  • Produce reports and monitor performance against compliance targets.
  • Work with colleagues across Housing, Customer Services, Gas Servicing, and Legal to resolve issues.
  • Respond sensitively to residents, including those in vulnerable circumstances.

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in administration or compliance, ideally in housing, property services, or a regulatory setting.
  • Understands gas safety and housing legislation (or is willing to learn).
  • Is highly organised, with great attention to detail and case management skills.
  • Can communicate confidently with residents and colleagues, even in challenging situations.
  • Has experience preparing legal documentation and is comfortable supporting enforcement action.
  • Is IT-savvy and able to produce clear reports.
  • Is willing to occasionally work early mornings, evenings, or attend site visits.

Working for Camden

At Camden, we’re not afraid to do things differently. We welcome your ideas, your views, and your energy. In return, we offer a flexible and supportive environment, a range of staff benefits, and the opportunity to help redefine what a career in local government can be.

We want Camden Council to reflect the communities we serve. That means we value diversity in all its forms, including diversity of thought. We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and other Ethnic Minority communities, LGBTQ+, disabled, and neurodiverse candidates. Equalities and justice sit at the heart of what we do, and we need diverse voices to help us make a real difference.
