About Us

At Camden, we’re not just imagining a better future – we’re building it. We’re making sure no one is left behind as we shape a borough where everyone can thrive. Camden has big ambitions for the future of Euston, and now is a critical time to work to make our vision a reality. HS2 and the redevelopment of Euston station are progressing at pace, and Camden is working to set up a new Locally Led Urban Development Corporation (LLUDC) for Euston, which would be the first of its kind in the country. There’s never been a more exciting time to get involved.

The Role

You will play a leading role in shaping the future of Euston, one of the UK's most significant regeneration opportunities. The primary focus of the role will be driving the development of a planned Locally Led Urban Development Corporation (LLUDC). Working in a highly political and complex environment, you will bring together a diverse range of stakeholders behind a shared vision for Euston's future. You will navigate competing interests, build consensus and maintain momentum across multiple organisations, ensuring that local priorities are balanced with London's wider ambitions for economic growth, housing delivery and regeneration.

Key elements of the role include:

  • Developing and finalising the business case for the LLUDC
  • Negotiating with government partners
  • Engaging local communities and elected members
  • Helping shape the future powers, governance and funding arrangements of the Corporation
  • Leading the planned statutory consultation and internal decision-making processes
  • Coordinating the work required to establish the organisation, such as recruitment, resourcing and internal governance

There is potential for the role to evolve with the formation of the proposed Development Corporation focused on wider policy and governance for the Euston area.

About You

You are an adaptable politically astute strategic thinker, with significant experience in a related field, such as policy, organisational design, programme delivery, or regeneration. You are comfortable operating in complex and often ambiguous environments, balancing long-term strategic objectives with the practical challenges of delivery. You have experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders with differing priorities and perspectives, and are skilled at building consensus, negotiating solutions and maintaining momentum in politically sensitive settings. You are an excellent communicator, able to build credibility with residents, elected members, senior leaders, government officials and external partners alike.

You are equally comfortable considering complex policy and governance questions as you are tackling operational challenges. You are pragmatic, solutions-focused and quick to respond to changing circumstances, with the ability to anticipate issues, think ahead and identify opportunities before they arise. You have a strong track record of leading complex projects or programmes, working across organisational boundaries and bringing people together to achieve shared outcomes. Experience of development corporations, major regeneration programmes or establishing new organisations would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Working for Camden

We’re ready to welcome your ideas, your views, and your rebellious spirit. Help us redefine how we’re supporting people, and we’ll redefine what a career can be.
