How You’ll Be Involved

The vision for Housing Services is to work closely with neighbourhoods and communities to continuously improve services alongside those who rely on them. By delivering services that are informed, responsive, and people‑centred, Housing Services plays a vital role in preventing homelessness and providing safe, secure, and sustainable homes, supporting Camden’s commitment to social equality and positive outcomes for residents. As a Neighbourhood Housing Officer, you will play a key role in delivering these services, acting as a role model for our behaviours by embedding a culture of respect and relational practice. With residents at the heart of everything you do, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact on Camden’s neighbourhoods and communities. The job requires officers to be in the office a minimum of three days a week. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

All About You

This role would suit someone who cares deeply about people, communities, and housing equality and is motivated by making a positive difference to residents’ lives. As a Neighbourhood Housing Officer, you will enjoy working proactively, building strong relationships, and finding solutions early, particularly for people who may need additional support. You communicate clearly and kindly, work well with others across teams and partner organisations, and believe services should be accessible, inclusive, and resident‑focused. You’re confident using systems to keep accurate records, open to learning, and committed to working in a respectful, trauma‑informed way that reflects Camden’s values. Above all, you believe housing is about more than bricks and mortar; it’s about helping people feel safe, supported, and part of their community.

What We Offer

At Camden, you’ll receive a host of benefits. From flexible working to 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays. We also offer family leave, loan schemes and access to our staff networks. We also have a pension scheme.

Inclusion and Belonging

At Camden, we want every colleague to feel they belong and can thrive. We welcome applications from all parts of our community, and particularly encourage people from Black, Asian and Other Ethnic Heritage communities, LGBTQ+ people, disabled and neurodiverse people, survivors of domestic abuse, and those from lower socio‑economic backgrounds or with care experience. We know that different voices and perspectives make us stronger, and we are committed to providing the support, adjustments and flexibility people need to succeed.
