Lead Camden’s Future

At Camden, we don’t just deliver services – we work alongside communities to challenge injustice and drive real social change. Our shared vision – We Make Camden – aims to create a fairer, more inclusive borough where everyone has a voice and where power is shared. We are now recruiting two exceptional senior leaders to help deliver this ambition.

About the role

The Executive Director Corporate Services will provide organisational leadership at the highest level, ensuring we have the systems, culture, governance and insight required to operate confidently, plan for the future and deliver services rooted in fairness and community insight. This role is central to how we operate as an organisation and how we respond to the evolving needs of the borough. We Make Camden must act as a call to action that inspires a new way of working, where Camden’s people, the Council, public sector partners, businesses and world‑renowned institutions come together to work differently to develop solutions around shared missions.

Corporate Services is central in enabling Camden to fulfil its purpose. The directorate brings together customer services, digital and data, finance, legal, governance, people and inclusion, partnership, participation, communications, and strategy. It provides the organisational foundations that support Camden to operate confidently, plan for the future and deliver services rooted in fairness and community insight. The directorate has some of the broadest reach into our communities working directly with residents and businesses, voluntary and community sector partners and anchor institutions to create a place that works for everyone.

About you

We are looking for an outstanding strategic leader who can guide high‑performing senior teams, support elected members with confidence and clarity and ensure Camden has the systems, culture and forward‑looking capability in a complex and evolving landscape. You will champion inclusive, distributed leadership, build a culture where colleagues feel empowered and valued, and bring compassion and cohesion. With responsibility for some of Camden’s most critical functions you will ensure we continue to remain purpose led and mission driven.
