We have an exciting management opportunity available within Adult Social Care in the London Borough of Bromley.

Salary: £48,700 - £57,008 per annum. In addition, you will receive up to £2000 annual retention payment, £2000 Golden Hello and other excellent benefits including a lease car.

Location: Hybrid Working (office working two days a week as a minimum) / Bromley Civic Centre, Churchill Court

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time (36 hours)

About The Role

The London Borough of Bromley, Adult Social Care Services is looking for a Team Manager to join our friendly and hard-working locality team on a permanent basis. As part of the transformation agenda, the Assessment and Care Management service has reorganised and created four new locality teams commensurate with GP practices and a Review Team. These teams undertake strengths-based assessments, complete reviews and provide safeguarding support to adults with a physical disability or age-related disability. All care management and safeguarding tasks are undertaken as per the statutory duties for a local authority underpinned by the Adult Social Care legislation.

Adult Social Care is on a transformation journey, and we are seeking talented and experienced people to join us to support the changes that are taking place and lead the team forward. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday with an expectation of office working twice weekly as a minimum.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • A registered qualification in Social Work.
  • An excellent knowledge of the legislation, statutory guidance and best practice that underpins Social Work and Adult Social Care.
  • Experience of management and supervision of staff in a statutory setting.
  • An ability to lead and motivate staff to enhance professional practice, improve service delivery and the outcomes for the service users.
  • The skills to navigate through different IT systems including AI and know how to record information contemporaneously on social care systems.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and written skills and be a problem solver, as well as be effective at prioritising, meeting performance targets and managing systems.
  • Ability and experience to maintain healthy relationships with partner agencies, particularly health, voluntary sector, and commissioned services.
  • A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is also essential.
