We consistently achieve high academic success, whilst maintaining a commitment to educating the ‘whole child’ through the promotion of sport and the arts as part of a well-rounded curriculum. We are part of Impact Multi Academy Trust, and we work closely within the Trust with our other four secondary schools and our three primary schools.

We are looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Design & Technology to join our successful department in a high performing school. The department has seven workshops and a food technology room, in addition to a laser cutter, two CNC routers and a 3D printer printing farm. We use CAD and CAM extensively at all key stages, using SolidWorks and 2D design. This is a permanent role that would commence September 2026 and would be suitable for an experienced or newly qualified teacher on a full‑time basis.

What we are looking for:

  • Have an ability to teach Design & Technology in a way in which keeps students engaged and stimulated.
  • Have a proven record as an excellent classroom practitioner.
  • Have experience of, or be willing to teach across all Key Stages.
  • Be willing to teach Design & Technology up to Key Stage 4 in Resistant Materials / Product Design.
  • Have excellent IT skills and be keen to keep up to date with current technology as all our portfolio submissions are electronic.
  • Be an experienced teacher (or a newly qualified teacher with a specialism in product design / resistant materials or electronics).

What we have to offer you:

  • Committed and hardworking students
  • Ongoing professional development and training
  • A friendly and supportive working environment
  • Opportunities for collaboration with other schools within our Trust
  • Free access to a confidential 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provided through Health Assured

We are committed to equality of opportunity for all our staff. We particularly welcome applicants from ethnic minority backgrounds as we recognise the vital contribution that members of a diverse team make to our pupils’ learning. The range of cultural experiences, differing viewpoints and role models this brings is essential in our Trust and we recognise the gap that would be left in our offering without these.
