We have an exciting opportunity in Adults Social Care! The London Borough of Bromley, Orpington and Crays Locality Team are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our friendly and hard-working team. We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Social Worker to join our Adult Services team in the Orpington Locality. This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide spectrum of adult social care needs, making a real difference in the lives of individuals in our community.
To be considered, you must be registered with Social Work England and able to pass a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Qualifications- Proven experience in case management and conducting safeguarding enquiries in line with statutory responsibilities.
- Strong skills in independent assessment and support planning, underpinned by a solid understanding of adult social care legislation, theoretical frameworks, and best practice.
- Confidence in risk assessment, decision-making in dynamic situations.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and people management abilities.
- A creative, person-centred approach to developing interventions that empower individuals.
- The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with partner agencies, including health services, the voluntary sector, and commissioned providers.
- Proficiency in using IT systems and recording information accurately and contemporaneously on social care platforms.
- Strong analytical, written, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet performance targets.

Role DetailsThe role will be based at Churchill Court our new office at Bromley South in the heart of the vibrant Bromley High Street. This is a full-time position Monday to Friday. Adult Social Care is on a transformation journey, and we are seeking talented and experienced people to join us to support the changes that are taking place and lead the team forward. Bromley is a fast moving, progressive authority where we are committed to investing in the workforce. We are a flexible employer, currently offering a hybrid home working/office model for staff. You will be joining an ambitious service with strong leadership and clear lines of support. There will be a dedicated two-week induction programme upon joining us.
