Senior Practitioner - Referral and Assessment Team (Multiple vacancies available!)

Salary: £44,951 to £53,373 per annum (in addition you will receive a £2,000 Golden Hello Welcome Payment, £2,000 Annual Retention Allowance, and other benefits, including a lease car)

Location: Bromley Civic Centre / flexible working (3 days in the office)

Hours: Full time - 36 hours

Contract: Permanent

Role overview

Bromley are seeking highly talented and ambitious registered Senior Practitioners to join us on our journey to excellence. Bromley is committed to making children and young people in the Borough its top priority.

Responsibilities

This role is within the Referral and Assessment Service. The Referral and Assessment Teams receive all new referrals from the Bromley MASH and undertake Child and Family assessments to determine how best children’s needs can be met. There are 6 teams, each consisting of a team manager and 5 social workers. The teams go onto duty for one week every 6 weeks and during their duty week, social workers will receive new allocations. Social workers carry an average of 8 families and work within a supportive, reflective environment with opportunities for supervision.

Qualifications

Applicants must have Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Care, Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check, and be registered with Social Work England (or able to obtain registration prior to commencement of employment). Appropriate and relevant experience and post-qualification experience of children and families social work within a statutory, voluntary or independent sector organisation.
