Glebe School Safeguarding & Family Support Worker

Required for Autumn 2026

(actual starting salary £27,102)

33.75 hours per week

Glebe School is looking for a Safeguarding & Family Support Worker to enhance our committed and supportive team. Glebe is an outstanding secondary special school for pupils with moderate learning difficulties and complex needs, including autistic spectrum disorders.

We believe in investing in our staff and have a comprehensive and ongoing CPD programme, offering opportunities for advancement. We have been awarded the platinum standard by ‘Investors in People.’

As a member of the Safeguarding Team, the postholder will help improve outcomes for pupils and enable them to engage successfully in their education. Working under the direction of the Designated Safeguarding Lead, they will provide administrative and practical support ensuring tasks are completed accurately and promptly for safeguarding and family-support work. They will collaborate with professionals on safeguarding concerns, and build positive relationships with pupils, families and external agencies.

Support Staff have a 39-week term time only contract, with hours worked over 38 weeks to allow for a two- week autumn half term.
