Bromley’s Access and Inclusion department is proud to be part of improving outcomes for children in the borough, making sure all statutory aged children are able to access their legal entitlement to education. The inclusion team plays a central role in this work, including overseeing the panels that give access to provision for young people.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Inclusion team. You will work alongside a small team of professionals to find educational placements for our most vulnerable and hard-to-place pupils from all key stages.

You will be a central point of contact for families and professionals of the pupils you work with, and should have experience of close multiagency working, and a sound understanding of the education system and of special educational needs.

The post will require you to be adaptable and flexible in finding appropriate educational solutions from pupils who are permanently excluded or hard to place with SEMH and SEN. You will work closely with our commissioned A.P providers to monitor and maintain placements. The role will require liaison with colleagues both internally and in our schools, attending meetings (very occasionally out of normal working hours), keeping detailed records about the cases you work with and providing data and information as required by senior colleagues.

You will hold responsibility for the Quality Assurance of third party providers and as such should not only have a sound knowledge of school systems but should be confident in your knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
