An exciting opportunity has opened within our PE Department, for a Sports Assistant/Coach with a football focus. You will be supporting our teachers with afternoon games sessions, football training and the running of lunchtime sporting activities. We are looking for someone who can contribute to the already high standards within this department and support the teachers in providing an exceptional sporting experience for all students.
We are looking to recruit a highly organised person with a “can-do” attitude to work both collaboratively and positively with our dedicated teachers. You would be joining a team that is passionate about sport, competitive, high performing with a forward thinking and innovative attitude. The Sports Assistant/Coach will work under the direction of the Director of Sport across our senior school and be fully immersed within the department and eventually will have the opportunity to be able to team teach, run a sports team and lead sessions with pupils. Having a full, clean driving licence would be desirable.
The successful candidate will:
- Be interested in potentially a teaching career
- Hold a NVQ Level 4 coaching qualification
- Support teachers with Games afternoons, football training sessions and lunchtime activities
- Assist with the organisation and running of sporting events including house events
- Be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Attend sporting fixtures during and after school, at home or away
- Assist with co-curricular activities, such as Floreat sessions
- Be organised, have good communication and administrative skills
- Be willing to take an active part in the wider life of the school
