The role involves being a proactive and highly organised Temporary Accommodation Visiting Officer to help ensure our temporary accommodation is safe, compliant, properly occupied and delivering value for money. This is a field-based role that combines property inspections, investigations and customer engagement, playing a crucial part in safeguarding residents and preventing fraud. You will work independently across a varied portfolio of accommodation, using your judgement, attention to detail and investigative skills to identify issues and resolve them effectively.

About You

  • An understanding of housing legislation, temporary accommodation and fraud risk
  • Knowledge of HHSRS, EPC standards and common property disrepair issues
  • An ability to provide sound advice to residents to help sustain accommodation and rental payments
  • An ability to interpret complex information and make sound decisions
  • A strong commitment to customer service and delivering positive outcomes
